CFO, Aero Test Group 2017 – 2018 Wixom, MI

First CFO hired to guide the integration of two competitors. Portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners that designs and manufactures test stands for the aerospace industry. Established consolidated reporting, overhauled treasury management system, led business through first ever financial audit. Deep knowledge and experience with percentage of completion accounting.

2014 – 2017 Edison, NJ & San Diego, CA

First CFO hired for this “buy and build” sponsored by Huron Capital Partners. Intelligent building environmental controls, hardware and software. Completed accounting consolidation for seven acquisitions, led the accounting implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX, implemented zero balance/cash concentration treasury management system.

2005 – 2014 Cleveland, OH

First CFO and third employee hired to launch the Riverside Micro-Cap Fund (< $5 million EBITDA) in 2005. Worked directly with portfolio companies in a hands-on, operationally focused approach to drive EBITDA growth. Built processes & systems to ensure accurate, timely, and compelling financial information is provided to help grow the business and ultimately optimize exit value.

Developed numerous standardized processes and tools to assist companies when brought into the portfolio, assist in integrating add-ons, and drive improvements in the accounting function. As the value of the role was proven, recruited several highly seasoned former CFOs to act as centralized Finance Directors and add rigorous financial oversight to the portfolio.

Partnered with the CEO and management team to create the vision, execute the business plan, and build value.  Managed corporate administrative activities including IT, HR, legal, contracts, risk management, and facilities.  Key member of management team that drove sales from $55 million to over $130 million in less than five years.  Led a 20 person financial staff in the U.S. and Mexico in providing timely, accurate, and compelling financial information to drive decision-making.
